Oyster Beach Paddle Club

Attention paddling enthusiasts!
Would you like to meet other like-minded individuals who share your love of paddling sports and our unique natural environment? Join the Oyster Beach Paddle Club! No boring monthly meetings to attend, this is all about fun kayaking on the May River. We plan to get together once a month to celebrate, enjoy and preserve the beautiful May River estuary. High tide, low tide, morning or sunset, the May River provides breathtaking scenic beauty and wildlife encounters. All skill levels are welcome, and the cost to join us on our monthly paddle is only $10. Anyone interested in joining may contact Cheryl Longshore at (843) 706-9985.
Check our web page for the date each month or check the Bluffton Today, for the day and time to meet at the Oyster Company on Wharf Street in downtown Bluffton. Bring fresh drinking water and a  snack. If you require a rental kayak please contact Swamp Girls Kayak Tours the Club's host organization.
Are you interested in guiding for this new Paddle Club? All you have to do is call the Swamp Girls at the office: 784-2249. Only Professional Paddlers with open water rescue skills need apply for guiding duties.

The sun climbs in the Lowcountry sky as graceful seabirds glide on a fragrant breeze. A dolphin's fin parts the glassy surface of the river, and peals of laughter ring across the water...This is the world of the Swamp Girls.  I never thought of kayaking as a social sport until I met the Swamp Girls! One trip and I was hooked on their special brand of hospitality and good humor - not to mention the brownies. You might say I've gone from fan to helper to guide, and made a lot of amazing friends along the way!
